China’s A00 aluminium ingot price glides up by RMB200/t; Australian Alumina FOB price loses US$5/t

A00 aluminium ingot price has augmented by RMB 200 per tonne to close at RMB 18,340 per tonne, as the Shanghai Metals Market recorded on Friday, September 30. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 18,320 per tonne and RMB 18,360 per tonne, with spot contracts trading at discount prices of RMB 60 per tonne and RMB 20 per tonne.

The provinces in China have witnessed increasing prices today, with the A00 aluminium ingot price rising the highest in Gongyi by RMB 240 per tonne to RMB 18,380 per tonne. Most of the other provinces in China marked an RMB 200 per tonne escalation. Like in Foshan and Shenyang the aluminium prices stood at RMB 18,360 per tonne, in Wuxi it rose to RMB 18,330 per tonne, in Hangzhou the aluminium price shifted upwards to RMB 18,370 per tonne and in Tianjin, the aluminium price levelled up to RMB 18,390 per tonne. The price of aluminium in Chongqing has gained RMB 190 per tonne, closing at RMB 18,420 per tonne. The aluminium price in Linyi has gone up by RMB 170 per tonne to peg at RMB 18,390 per tonne. 

In China, the domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has collected RMB 200 per tonne to stand at RMB 18,958 per tonne on Friday, September 30.

According to the data shown by SMM, high purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high purity aluminium (99.996%) price have made a leap of RMB 200 per tonne to stand at RMB 26,600 per tonne and RMB 27,600 per tonne, respectively.

The averaged alumina price in China has lost RMB 3 per tonne coming in at RMB 2,849 per tonne on September 30. The alumina prices in Shandong and Guangxi have slumped by RMB 10 per tonne to close at RMB 2,825 per tonne and RMB 2,810 per tonne. The Australian Alumina FOB price has dropped US$3 per tonne to rest at US$343 per tonne.

The aluminium alloy (A356) price has soared up the graph by RMB 300 per tonne arriving at RMB 19,850 per tonne. The average prices are likely to range between RMB 19,700 per tonne and RMB 20,000 per tonne, says SMM.

The prices of aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) have earned RMB 50 per tonne closing in at RMB 19,150 per tonne and RMB 20,150 per tonne. 

Future of Aluminium in Transportation Sector

The aluminium powder price in China has increased by RMB 0.20 per kg to settle at RMB 20.20 per kg, with average prices ranging between RMB 20.10 per kg and 20.30 per kg.
