LME aluminium opened at US$2,821 per tonne on Wednesday and closed at US$2,812 per tonne, down US$8 per tonne or 0.28%.
LME aluminium cash (bid) price moved down by US$11.5 per tonne or by 0.40% to come in at US$2,834.50 per tonne, as of Wednesday, December 29. LME aluminium official settlement price decreased by US$13 per tonne or by 0.45% to total at US$2,835 per tonne, respectively. 3-month bid price and 3-month offer price for the same day was recorded at US$2,818 per tonne and US$2,818.50 per tonne. December 22 bid price and December 22 offer price closed at US$2,773 per tonne and US$2,778 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock pegged at 959700 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants for the same day stood at 710150 tonnes and 249550 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price closed at US$2,799.82 per tonne.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
On Thursday, December 30, the benchmark aluminium price for SHFE moved up by US$37 per tonne to total at US$3,164 per tonne.
The most-traded SHFE 2202 aluminium closed up 0.76% or RMB 150 per tonne to RMB 19910 per tonne, with open interest down 9408 lots to 205118 lots.
The most-traded SHFE 2202 aluminium contract opened at RMB 19,990 per tonne overnight, with the highest and lowest prices at RMB 20,220 per tonne and RMB 19,940 per tonne before closing at RMB 20,155 per tonne, up RMB 285 per tonne or 1.43%.
