A00 aluminium ingot price in China reaches a new high of RMB18830/t; Aluminium fluoride price plunges by RMB550/t

A00 aluminium ingot price in China has reached a new high of RMB 18,830 per tonne on Friday, April 30, expanding further by RMB 100 per tonne after a surge of RMB 330 per tonne on the previous day, found the Shanghai Metals Market. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 18,810 per tonne and RMB 18,850 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 50-10 per tonne, down by RMB 10 per tonne from April 29.

In Linyi, A00 aluminium ingot price is also stand at RMB 130 per tonne, climbing by RMB 130 per tonne. In Wuxi, the price has surged by RMB 125 per tonne to stand at RMB 18,835 per tonne, while the price in Hangzhou and Tianjin has grown by RMB 115 per tonne and RMB 110 per tonne to come in at RMB 18,840 per tonne and RMB 18,780 per tonne, respectively. In Chongqing and Shenyang, primary aluminium ingot price has witnessed an increase of RMB 105 per tonne to RMB 18,765 per tonne and RMB 18,780 per tonne, while the price in Gongyi and Foshan has seen a rise of RMB 90 per tonne to RMB 18,700 per tonne and RMB 18,840 per tonne, respectively.

Aluminium alloy (A356) price has also recorded an increase of RMB 100 per tonne to RMB 19,550 per tonne, with average prices likely to range between RMB 19,500 per tonne and RMB 19,600 per tonne.

Among primary aluminium input costs, aluminium fluoride price has recorded a steep fall of RMB 550 per tonne to stand at RMB 7,750 per tonne, following restraint at RMB 8,300 per tonne for over two weeks, according to SMM. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 7,500 per tonne and RMB 8,000 per tonne.

Cryolite price has declined as well by RMB 150 per tonne to peg at RMB 6,000 per tonne, with average prices estimated to range between RMB 5,500 per tonne and RMB 6,500 per tonne.
