Primary aluminium inventories in China edged higher by 10,000 tonnes on week

As updated by Shanghai Metals Market, social inventories of primary aluminium across eight consumption areas in China, including SHFE warrants, increased slightly this week.  Inventories stood 712,000 tonnes as of Thursday July 30, up 10,000 tonnes from last Thursday.

Primary aluminium stocks in Shanghai, Nanhai and Tianjin increased by 6,000 tonnes, 8,000 tonnes and 2,000 tonnes to 118,000 tonnes, 182,000 tonnes and 58,000 tonnes as of Thursday July 30. Stocks in Linyi remained unchanged at 5,000 tonnes.

Inventories of aluminium in Wuxi, Hangzhou, Gongyi and Chongqing stood at 214,000 tonnes, 95,000 tonnes, 37,000 tonnes and 3,000 tonnes. That was down 2,000 tonnes, 2,000 tonnes, 1,000 tonnes and 1,000 tonnes from last Thursday.
