The European nation’s aluminium scrap import-export remains in steady progress during 2017-20.
The aluminium scrap import during 2017-19 exhibited rapid growth followed by minor fall, as the import volume stood at 24,015 tonnes and the revenue expenditure recorded was $24.56 million. The projected import for 2020 has been analysed at 8434 tonnes and the expenditure to stretch up at $9.77 million. When the analysed import volume and expenditure gets added to the previous three years it remains at 32,449 tonnes and $ 34.33 million respectively.
In 2017, the country’s aluminium scrap import was recorded at 5514 and expenditure stood at $5.35 million, whereas in 2018 the import reflected growth by 74.59%, as the import volume marked was 9627 tonnes and expenditure climbed to $10.19 million.
Albania’s aluminium scrap import in 2019 was displayed with downfall by 7.82%, as the import volume recorded was 8874 and expenditure dropped at $9.02 million, while the estimated import for 2020 has also been analysed with de-growth by 4.95% as the import volume is expected to reach at 8434 tonnes.
The major trade destinations for Albania’s aluminium scrap importation are Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Greece, Italy, Malta, Netherlands, etc.
Albania’s aluminium scrap export during 2017-19 remained enterprising, as the export during the phase stood at 15,267 tonnes and revenue earnings recorded was $15.75 million. The estimated export volume for 2020 has been marked at 5090 tonnes and earning to remain at $4.60 million. However, when the 2020 projected export volume and earning gets summed with the preceding three years it reaches at 20,357 tonnes and $20.35 million respectively.
The aluminium scrap export during 2017 has been at 3147 tonnes and the earning stood at $3.49 million, while in 2018 it showed growth by 96.21%, as the remained at 6175 tonnes and income generations climbed to $6.87 million.
In 2019, the export however exhibited fall by 3.72%, as the export volume stood at 5945 tonnes and the earning dropped to $5.39 million, while in 2020 the analysed export also saw dip by 14.36%, as the export volume might remain to 5090 tonnes.
Albania’s aluminium scrap export trading nations are Belgium, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Turkey, UK, etc.
