Trafigura and e.Go Mobile signs MOU to ensure long-term supply of aluminium and other battery metals

Next.e.GO Mobile (e.Go), the Aachen-based German manufacturer of electric vehicles and sustainable mobility systems, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Trafigura to create a long-term supply chain management service agreement focussing on the supply of aluminium and battery metals like lithium, cobalt, and copper. The deal will considerably improve e.GO's capacity to follow its decentralised growth plan and strengthen supply chain dependability.

Under the agreement, Trafigura will meet all of e.GO's requirements for transition and battery metal. The agreement also specifies how carbon intensity for each source of metals in the supply chain will be measured and how carbon declaration and transparency will be provided via the Agora supply chain emissions platform.

"This partnership marks an important step forward for us at e.GO, as we work together with one of the leading and most resourceful partners in the industry to meet the increasing demand for electric vehicles and deliver on our mission of steadfast transition to a zero-emission urban mobility," stated Ali Vezvaei, Chairman of the Board at Next.e.GO Mobile SE.
