PNW Components to unleash Loam Lever Gen2 machined from a solid aluminium billet

PNW Components’ Loam Lever had broken boundaries with a sophisticated yet trouble-free action, capable of enduring a lot but with a soft pad. Currently, the brand has introduced its Loam Lever Gen2, CNC machined from a solid billet of aluminium, which can be more smoothly operated and is being claimed by PNW Components as ‘the yoga mat for your thumb’.

The Loam Lever Gen2, just like its predecessor, is exceptionally durable and robust and has been precisely CNC machined from a solid aluminium billet so that the design remains open to various adjustments while being attached to a bike body. The distance between these positions has been heightened, providing a 14mm adjustment gap in comparison with the original 6mm lever. This makes it compatible with a more extensive range of brake sets and makes the ride as sleek as possible.

Like its previous model, the Loam Lever Gen 2 has a steady silicon grip which is now larger and sized a bit differently for enhanced usability. The brand claims this new shape is very critical to riding the bike on uneven terrain.

Aluminium is a very sturdy non-ferrous metal much lighter than steel, making it applicable in the creation of various everyday products that need to be rigid yet accessible. Moreover, aluminium is infinitely recyclable, thus increasing the recyclability quotient of a particular component or product.

Future of the Global Aluminium Castings Industry

PNW Components’ Loam Lever Gen 2 is an example of a rigid bike dropper with a 2.2mm clamp, SRAM MatchMaker X, Shimano I-SPEC EV, and I-SPEC II fittings weighing from 36g up to 48g, customisable according to the user’s request. The Loam Lever Gen 2 is also available in different colour tones.
