Alumina spot price in China slips by RMB17/t to RMB2,852/t; A00 aluminium ingot price expands to RMB 18,140/t

On Thursday, September 29, the average alumina spot price in China descended by RMB 17 per tonne to settle at RMB 2,852 per tonne. The prices in Shanxi and Guangxi dropped by RMB 20 per tonne to peg at RMB 2,795 per tonne and RMB 2,820 per tonne on the same day. In Henan, the price witnessed a cut of RMB 15 per tonne to stop at RMB 2,920 per tonne. As per the SMM data, in Shandong and Guizhou, the prices contracted by RMB 10 per tonne to record at RMB 2,835 per tonne and RMB 2,860 per tonne.

On the other hand, the A00 aluminium ingot price ascended by RMB 180 per tonne to come in at RMB 18,140 per tonne, with the average prices ranging between RMB 18,120 per tonne and RMB 18,160 per tonne. The spot contract price is expected to be traded at a discount price of RMB 60 to RMB 20 per tonne.

In Chongqing, the price surged by RMB 200 per tonne to settle at RMB 18,230 per tonne. On the same day, the prices in Gongyi and Foshan hiked by RMB 180 per tonne to close at RMB 18,140 per tonne and RMB 18,160 per tonne. The prices in Hangzhou, Tianjin and Linyi also witnessed the same growth of RMB 18,170 per tonne, RMB 18,190 per tonne and RMB 18,220 per tonne. In Wuxi and Shenyang, the prices were hiked by RMB 18,130 per tonne and RMB 18,160 per tonne, respectively.

The domestic price of low carbon aluminium in China grew by RMB 180 per tonne to halt at RMB 18,758 per tonne.

The high purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high purity aluminium (99.996%) price have expanded by RMB 200 per tonne to stop at RMB 26,400 per tonne and RMB 27,400 per tonne.

The aluminium alloy (A356) price has surged by RMB 200 per tonne to come in at RMB 19,550 per tonne. The average price for the same is expected to orbit between RMB 19,400 per tonne and RMB 19,700 per tonne. The aluminium alloys (ADC12) price and aluminium alloy (A356) price both showed no change, settling at RMB 19,100 per tonne and RMB 20,100 per tonne. The Australian alumina FOB price went down by US$5 per tonne to come in at US$348 per tonne.
