The Spar store was recently renovated, and the entire 3,216 sq. ft store required 13 weeks to be fully optimised with modern technological appliances like state-of-the-art freezers and refrigerators. The latest instalments also include LED lights with floor and ceiling restoration.

To move toward sustainability, the store has also installed the latest energy-smart refrigeration systems aligned with Spar Scotland’s green strategy, focusing on the growth of the Spar Scotland chilled and produced deal.

Aluminium is an infinitely recyclable material that, when retrieved after the process, retains similar qualities as the original product, making it reusable.

Customers bringing in empty stocks would be given a 5p incentive for the upcoming few months.

The walls of the store have been decorated with 12 digital screens, which flash offers and provide navigational guidelines for the consumers creating a very welcoming environment for shopaholics.

Spar Scotland’s on-the-go food brand, CJ’s, has been included in the series of products available in the outlet. Others include Costa Coffee, Chicago Town Pizza, Calippo, Fanta and Rollover Hotdogs. Among condiments, one can find morning rolls, bread, savouries, sweet treats and pre-packed food from local bakers, Browning’s of Kilmarnock. The store also will shelf products from local butchers, Pollok Williamson, and award-winning frozen meals from COOK.

The CEO of CJ Lang & Son Ltd, Colin McLean, exclaimed: “We are delighted to offer the village of Crosshouse a fantastic new SPAR store. Along with local residents and shoppers, close by is the University Hospital Crosshouse and Crosshouse Primary School, which we know we can support with excellent customer service.”

Future of Aluminium in Transportation Sector

“We have made a significant investment in the development of this store to give it a brand-new feel, and it now exceeds all other stores in the area. The refurbishment is the largest we have undertaken this year and meets an exceptional standard. We are enormously proud of how the store design, format, energy efficiency, and the introduction of key retail technology solutions such as the addition of a self-checkout solution, electronic shelf edge labels, and a trial Reverse Vending Machine are key to our retail success,” he concluded.
