China’s A00 aluminium ingot price gains RMB100/t to begin the week; Australian alumina FOB price slides down by US$2/t

A00 aluminium ingot price has faced an RMB 100 per tonne expansion to close at RMB 18,960 per tonne, as recorded by the Shanghai Metals Market on Monday, August 29. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 18,940 per tonne and RMB 18,980 per tonne, with spot contracts trading at a discount price of RMB 50 per tonne and RMB 10 per tonne.

The provinces in China have witnessed a hike in aluminium prices today, with A00 aluminium ingot price rising the highest in Foshan by RMB 110 per tonne to RMB 18,790 per tonne. The primary aluminium prices in Chongqing, Shenyang, Tianjin and Linyi escalated by RMB 100 per tonne to close at RMB 18,880 per tonne, RMB 18,900 per tonne, RMB 18,910 per tonne and RMB 18,960 per tonne. The primary aluminium price in Gongyi has gained RMB 90 per tonne to rest at RMB 18,830 per tonne, while Wuxi and Hangzhou refrained from any change, staying stoic at RMB 18,850 per tonne and RMB 18,890 per tonne.

In China, the domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has gained RMB 110 per tonne to stop at RMB 19,398 per tonne on Monday, August 29.

According to the data shown by SMM, high purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high purity aluminium (99.996%) price have been increased by RMB 100 per tonne each to rest at RMB 27,100 per tonne and RMB 28,100 per tonne, respectively.

The Australian Alumina FOB price has dropped by US$2 per tonne, resting at US$328 per tonne today.

The aluminium alloy (A356) price has shot up by RMB 100 per tonne arriving at RMB 20,350 per tonne. The average prices are likely to range between RMB 20,200 per tonne and RMB 20,500 per tonne, says SMM.

The prices of aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) have heightened by RMB 100 per tonne coming in at RMB 19,300 per tonne and RMB 20,300 per tonne. The price of aluminium alloys (ADC12) hovered between RMB 19,200 per tonne and RMB 19,400 per tonne. The cost of aluminium alloy (A380) hit the RMB 20,200 per tonne to RMB 20,400 per tonne range.

Future of Aluminium in Transportation Sector

The aluminium powder price in China has gained RMB 0.10 per kg to settle at RMB 20.90 per kg, with average prices ranging between RMB 20.80 per kg and 21 per kg.
