China’s A00 aluminium ingot price shrinks for two straight days closing the week at RMB19050/t; Australian alumina FOB loses US$1/t

A00 aluminium ingot price in China has plungedd by RMB 180 per tonne to close the week, ending July 1, at RMB 19,050 per tonne, found the Shanghai Metals Market. The average prices are estimated to range between RMB 19,030 per tonne and RMB 19,070 per tonne and spot contracts to be traded at a discount price of 50 and 10 per tonne.

In Hangzhou, the primary aluminium ingot price has recorded a maximum decrease of RMB 170 per tonne to RMB 19,090 per tonne. The aluminium ingot prices in Foshan and Wuxi have suffered a loss of RMB 160 per tonne to rest at RMB 19,020 per tonne and RMB 19,040 per tonne, followed by a decline of RMB 150 per tonne in Shenyang and Tianjin to RMB 19,050 per tonne and RMB 19,100 per tonne. In Gongyi and Chongqing, A00 aluminium ingot prices have witnessed an RMB 120 per tonne downfall to settle at RMB 18,950 per tonne and RMB 19,090 per tonne, noted SMM on Friday, July 1. In Linyi, the ingot price has declined the lowest by RMB 70 per tonne, closing at RMB 19,130 per tonne.

Today in China, the domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has shrunk by RMB 165 per tonne to stand at RMB 19,618 per tonne.

According to the data shown by SMM, the high purity aluminium (99.99%) price and the high purity aluminium (99.996%) price have nosedived by RMB 200 per tonne to stop at RMB 27,100 per tonne and RMB 28,100 per tonne, respectively.

Today, backed on the primary aluminium ingot price fall, aluminium alloy (A356) price has faced a downward slope of RMB 200 per tonne, arriving at RMB 20,100 per tonne. The average prices are likely to range between RMB 20,000 per tonne and RMB 20,200 per tonne, says SMM.

The prices of aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) have also slumped by RMB 200 per tonne to close the week at RMB 19,200 per tonne and RMB 20,200 per tonne, respectively. The average prices of aluminium alloys (ADC12) are expected to hover between RMB 19,100 per tonne and RMB 19,300 per tonne, while the average prices of aluminium alloy (A380) are likely to range between RMB 20,100 per tonne and RMB 20,300 per tonne.

Among the primary aluminium input costs, the Australian alumina FOB price has shed US$1 per tonne to close the week at US$367 per tonne.

The aluminium powder price in China has lost RMB 0.20 per kg to settle at RMB 20.85 per kg, with average prices ranging between RMB 20.70 per kg and RMB 21 per kg.
