China’s A00 aluminium ingot price slips by RMB40/t; Aluminium alloy (A356) price falls by RMB50/t

China’s A00 aluminium ingot price has slipped by RMB 40 per tonne on Friday, April 29, after witnessing a hike the previous day, found the SMM. The price for Friday, April 29 closed at RMB 20,810 per tonne, with average prices likely to range between RMB 20,790 per tonne and RMB 20,830 per tonne. The spot contract for today is likely to be traded at a discount price of RMB -60 to RMB-20 per tonne.

In Tianjin the price has augmented by RMB 1010 per tonne to record at RMB 21,840 per tonne. For the same day in Linyi, the price climbed up by RMB 10 per tonne to settle at RMB 21,010 per tonne. Amidst the increase in A00 aluminium ingot prices, province like Gongyi and Chongqing witnessed a slump of RMB 20 per tonne. The price for the same has been recorded at at RMB 21,070 per tonne and RMB 20,890 per tonne. In Wuxi and Hangzhou the price has descended by RMB 35 per tonne and RMB 30 per tonne to come in at RMB 20,800 per tonne and RMB 20,930 per tonne. The price in Shenyang has also declined by RMB 60 per tonne to halt at RMB 20,810 per tonne.

The aluminium alloy (ADC12) price and (A380) price has remained restrained at RMB 21,600 per tonne and RMB 22,600 per tonne. On the other hand, aluminium alloy (A356) price has dipped by RMB 50 per tonne to peg at RMB 21,950 per tonne, with average prices likely to range between RMB 21,800 per tonne and RMB 22,100 per tonne.

Global Aluminium Industry Key Trends to 2030

Aluminium powder price has stood unchanged to come in at RMB 22.5 per kg. The Australian alumina FOB price has also showed no change since April 22, to close at US$370 per tonne.
