Average alumina spot price in China declines by RMB 48/t to RMB 3,188/t; A00 aluminium ingot price grows by RMB 120/t

According to the Shanghai Metals Market, the average alumina spot price in China has been moving down since Tuesday, February 22. On Friday, February 25, the price has declined by RMB 48 per tonne to score at RMB 3,188 per tonne.

The price in Shandong and Shanxi has also fallen down by RMB 60 per tonne to peg at RMB 3,145 per tonne and RMB 3,140 per tonne. In Henan and Guangxi the price has slumped by RMB 35 per tonne and RMB 30 per tonne, to settle at RMB 3,240 per tonne and RMB 3,160 per tonne. For the same day in Guizhou the price has dipped by RMB 90 per tonne to come in at RMB 3,200 per tonne. Only in Lianyungang and Bayuquan, the price has remained constant to total at RMB 3,125 per tonne and RMB 3,250 per tonne.

Amongst the fall in prices, the Australian FOB price has gone up by RMB 10 per tonne to settle at RMB 435 per tonne, for the same day.

According to the Shanghai Metals Market, the A00 aluminium ingot price has grown by RMB 120 per tonne to total at RMB 22,820 per tonne. The average prices are likely to hover between RMB 22,800 tonne and RMB 22,840 tonnes, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 70-30 per tonne.

In Chongqing and Shenyang, the price has escalated by RMB 110 per tonne to close at RMB 22,730 per tonne and RMB 22,790 per tonne.  In Tianjin also the price has surged by RMB 110 per tonne to record at RMB 22,800 per tonne. The A00 aluminium ingot price in Gongyi and Foshan has hiked by RMB 130 per tonne and RMB 100 per tonne, to peg at RMB 22,650 per tonne and RMB 22,840 per tonne.

In Wuxi and Hangzhou the price has grown by RMB 115 per tonne and RMB 105 per tonne to settle at RMB 22,815 per tonne, for the same day. In Linyi the price has climbed up by RMB 120 per tonne to score at RMB 22,810 per tonne.

Aluminium alloy (A356) price has grown by RMB 50 per tonne to record at RMB 24,100 per tonne. The average for the same is expected to orbit between RMB 24,000 per tonne and RMB 24,200 per tonne. On the other hand, aluminium alloy (ADC12) price and (A380) price has remained unchanged to settle at RMB 22,350 per tonne and RMB 23,350 per tonne.
