Carlos Pinglo has been named Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary of First Bauxite Corporation (TSX VENTURE:FBX) ("First Bauxite" or the "Company"), succeeding Ian Fodie. Mr. Fodie's services are appreciated, and the Company wishes him well in his future pursuits.
First Bauxite is a Canadian mineral exploration and development firm focused on bauxite discoveries in Guyana, South America. The Company's headquarters are in Toronto, and it is led by experienced geoscientists and business development experts who have worked in the exploration and mining industry for a variety of mineral commodities all over the world.
Mr. Pinglo will continue to serve as Eurotin Inc.'s Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary. He is an economist with over 20 years of senior management experience in corporate finance, strategic planning, financial reporting, and mergers and acquisitions with both private and public firms. He has previously served as Chief Financial Officer at Medoro Resources Ltd., Vice President, Finance at Pacific Coal Resources Ltd., Controller at Silver Eagle Mines Inc. and Excellon Resources Inc., and a member of the Mineros Nacionales S.A. Board of Directors.
First Bauxite's objective is to become a medium-sized producer and supplier of high-quality refractory grade sintered (calcined) bauxite shortly. The Bonasika Mining License, the Waratilla-Cartwright Prospecting License, and the Essequibo PGGS Prospecting Permit are all under First Bauxite's jurisdiction in Guyana's historic coastal bauxite area. In Northeast Guyana, the Company also controls the Tarakuli and adjoining Tarakuli North-West Prospecting Licenses.
