Elval, ElvalHalcor's Aluminium Rolling Division was certified against the AS9100 Standard after meeting all of the Standard's requirements and receiving extremely favourable feedback from the assessors. AS9100 is one of the most recent standards developed by the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG), which is made up of members from the aerospace sector from all around the world.
The AS9100 certification provides Elval access to the aviation and aerospace supply chain, bringing up new opportunities for ElvalHalcor. The standard is aimed at companies who create, produce, or offer aviation, space, and defence goods and services, including parts, components, and assemblies, with the goal of assisting them in meeting their clients' unique needs.
In the aircraft sector, aluminium has a long and successful history. For their first manned wood-frame aeroplane in 1903, the Wright brothers used aluminium for the cylinder block and other engine elements. From beverage cans and building envelopes to ships, medicines, consumer gadgets, and electric cars, aluminium has been present in our daily lives since then.
