Average alumina spot price in China descends by RMB 10/t to close at RMB 3,394/t; A00 aluminium ingot price climbs by RMB 30/t

According to the Shanghai Metals Market, the average alumina spot price has shrunk by RMB 10 per tonne to close at RMB 3,394 per tonne, as of Wednesday, December 1.

The average alumina price in Henan has decreased by RMB 10 per tonne to stand at RMB 3,415 per tonne, as of December 1. For the same day, in provinces like Shanxi and Guangxi the price has dropped by RMB 15 per tonne and RMB 10 per tonne to total at RMB 3,400 per tonne and RMB 3,215 per tonne, respectively. For provinces like Shandong and Guizhou the price remained restrained and stood at RMB 3,500 per tonne and RMB 3,360 per tonne. In places like Lianyungang and Bayuquan, the prices remained the same and closed at RMB 3,150 per tonne and RMB3,200 per tonne.

Australian alumina FOB price has remained the same at US$385 per tonne, as of Wednesday, December 1.

On Wednesday, December 1, the price of A00 aluminium ingot has climbed by RMB 30 per tonne to record at RMB 18,850 per tonne. The average prices for the same are expected to range between RMB 18,870 per tonne to RMB 18,910 per tonne, with spot contact to be traded at a premium price of RMB 30-40 per tonne.

The price of primary aluminium ingot in Foshan has remained unchanged and stood at RMB 18,960 per tonne, as of December 1. In Gongyi, the price has increased by RMB 40 per tonne to close at RMB 18,850 per tonne. The primary aluminium ingot price in Wuxi has expanded by only RMB 35 per tonne to settle at RMB 18,890 per tonne. In Hangzhou and Chongqing, the price has increased by RMB 35 per tonne and RMB 20 per tonne to total at RMB 18,895 per tonne and RMB 18,920 per tonne. In Shenyang the price has also levelled up by RMB 20 per tonne to come in at RMB 18,870 per tonne. In Linyi, the price has ascended by RMB 50 per tonne to settle at RMB 118,970 per tonne.

Aluminium alloy (A356) has escalated by RMB 100 per tonne to close at RMB 21,250 per tonne, as of December 1. According to SMM, the average price for A356 is expected to range between RMB 21,200 per tonne and RMB 21,300 per tonne.

No change is seen in Aluminium alloy (ADC12) price and Aluminium alloy (A380) price as of December 1. The prices are standing at RMB 20,050 per tonne and RMB 21,250 per tonne.
