Tom Dobbins to serve Aluminium Association only till October-end 2021; President, CEO resigns

Tom Dobbins is stepping down from his position as President and Chief Executive officer of the Aluminum Association, Arlington, Virginia, at the end of October 2021. The news came on Tuesday, September 28, after the Aluminum Association announced it officially, adding that the board of directors thanked Dobbins for his service to the association and the aluminum industry.

Tom Dobbins has served the association as President and CEO for over a year since March 2020.

On receiving the resignation from Tom Dobbins, Aluminum Association has started looking for a new president and CEO. But until the position is filled, several other executives within the association will serve on the association’s interim leadership team.

The team includes Joe Quinn, vice president of external affairs at the Aluminum Association; Ryan Olsen, vice president of market growth and development at the Aluminum Association; and Matt Meenan, senior director of external affairs at the Aluminum Association.

Outlook for the Indian Aluminium Industry

“I have great confidence in our interim leadership team and the full association staff to continue to execute on behalf of the entire industry,” says Buddy Stemple, chair of the Aluminum Association. “The team will continue its excellent work on the Aluminum Agenda policy roadmap, our Choose Aluminum sustainability campaign and other efforts.”
