LME aluminium plunges by 2.12% to US$2,851/t; SHFE market is closed for the National Day holiday

LME aluminium benchmark price edged 2.12 percent lower on Thursday, September 30.

Both LME aluminium cash (bid) price and official settlement fell down by US$62 to close at US$2,850.50 per tonne and US$2,851 per tonne, respectively. 3-month bid price and 3-month offer price closed at US$2,866 per tonne and US$2,867 per tonne. December 22 bid price was recorded at US$2,755 per tonne and the offer price for the same day settled at US$2,760 per tonne.

LME aluminium opening stock for September 30 stood at 1238300 tonnes. Live warrants were recorded at 642750 and the cancelled warrants closed at 595550.

LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price for Thursday, September 30 was noted at 2,904.76.

SHFE Aluminium Price Trend           

The Shanghai Metal Market will be closed from October 1 to October 7 for the National Day holiday and will resume on October 8 2021.

For Thursday, September 30 the benchmark aluminium SHFE moved down by US$30 per tonne to stand at US$3,512 per tonne.
