Out of the total export of aluminium scrap by Japan in 2020, the top five countries are South Korea, China, Vietnam, Hong Kong and India. These five countries absorbed 57.68% of Japan’s total aluminium scrap export in 2020, as by volume it records 146,948 tonnes and contributes earnings of $266.88 million, which counts to 98.21%.
South Korea, the neighbouring country, leads the race of grabbing aluminium scrap exports from Japan with 71,118 tonnes and contributed $208 million to the export nation. Japan’s another next-door nation, China ranks at number two for securing 45,751 tonnes of aluminium scrap from Japanese export and the revenue paid stood $47 million.
The rest of the three nations of the top five lists are Vietnam, Hong Kong and India. Vietnam received Japanese export of aluminium scrap of the volume of 16,101 tonnes and paid around $2.07 million, while comes Hong Kong obtained 7141 tonnes of aluminium scrap in 2020.
India stands at the 5th place in the list tagged with 6837 tonnes of aluminium scrap in 2020 from Japanese export and contributed $9.04 million towards the export of scrap.
