Bauxite weekly recap: United States crude and dried bauxite imports become weaker by 10.55% in Q1 2021; Australian Bauxite raises AUD 3.25-million by fully subscribed share placement
The US import of crude and dried bauxite further decreased on quarter and stood at 695,000 tonnes in Q1 2021 ended on March 31, found the Geological Survey data. The import plunged by 82,000 tonnes or 10.55 per cent from 777,000 tonnes in Q4 2020. On a year-on-year calculation, the United States’ crude and dried bauxite imports in Q1 2021 stood 80,000 tonnes or 10.32 per cent lower than 775,000 tonnes.

Australian Bauxite’s Tasmanian aluminium fluoride production plans and an ongoing scout for rare earth elements in the state's north have received solid backing from the investors.
