Aodeli: Fire Safe aluminium panel supplier appoints Lorraine Jedid as National Specification Consultant, Darryl Smith as BDM for QLD

The direct supply of “Fire Safe” aluminium facade panels to the construction industry Australia wide, Aodeli appointed Lorraine Jedid to the newly created position of National Specification Consultant and Darryl Smith as a business development manager in the Queensland team.

Since May 2021, Jedid has been associated with Aodeli as the business development manager for Queensland, where Darryl Smith is positioned now with the recent appointment.

Holding a degree in architecture, Jedid carries a profound knowledge of the Australian construction sector, and especially in aluminium façade products, which she achieved from her time at Aodeli, also from her previous roles with Fairview Architectural, CSP Architectural and James Hardie.

However, it has been confirmed that Jedid will continue to be based at Aodeli’s headquarters in Queensland, while she will also be travelling as needed to fulfil the requirements of her national focused role. The main focus will be on specifications for SAP, the much sought after fully non-combustible solid aluminium panel made from 5052-H32 marine-grade aluminium and NCP, the aluminium core panel product that is also fully non-combustible. Both products are compliant with AS 1530.1 and are currently being widely used on new builds as well as numerous façade recladding and rectification projects.

Darryl Smith shoulders huge sales experience in his career and his appointment follows the company’s spectacular growth in this market supplying façade cladding materials to high profile and iconic projects across the State.

Smith in his previous role was the international sales and export manager for Skimmer Lids Pty Ltd and on-board Aodeli with a huge industry outlook.
