China’s primary aluminium inventories plunge by 25,000 tonnes on April 29

As updated by Shanghai Metals Market, social inventories of primary aluminium across eight consumption areas in China, including SHFE warrants, continued to decline this week. The stocks dropped by 25,000 tonnes from last Thursday to 1.12 million tonnes as of Thursday, 29 April 2021.

Primary aluminium stocks in Wuxi declined the most, standing at 427,000 tonnes on Thursday, 29 April 2021 from 450,000 tonnes last week. That was down by 23,000 tonnes. The stocks in Hangzhou and Gongyi stood at 99,000 tonnes and 139,000 tonnes, a drop of 5,000 tonnes and 2,000 tonnes. Inventories of aluminium in Tianjin remained unchanged at 60,000 tonnes as of Thursday, 29 April 2021.

In Shanghai, Nanhai and Chongqing, the stocks increased by 1,000 tonnes, 2,000 tonnes and 3,000 tonnes from last Thursday to stand at 100,000 tonnes, 269,000 tonnes and 7,000 tonnes. Inventories of aluminium in Linyi reduced by 1,000 tonnes to 14,000 tonnes as of Thursday, 29 April 2021.
