Russia’s exports of crude metals and alloys to the US down 47% in January-November

Russia’s exports of crude metals and alloys to the US stood at 9,650 tonnes in November 2020, a decrease of 38% year-on-year. The Russia had exported 15,500 tonnes to the US in November 2019, according to the latest Mineral Industry Survey report from the US Geological Survey. On a month on month comparison, exports dropped by 30% from 1,3800 tonnes.

In the first eleven months of 2020, crude metals and alloys exports stood at 102,000 tonnes as compared to 192,000 tonnes in the first eleven months of 2019. This marked a decrease of 47% year-on-year or 90,000 tonnes.

Russia’s exports of total aluminium (crude metal and alloys, semi-finished products and scrap) to the USA stood at 11,400 tonnes and 122,000 tonnes in November and January-November 2020. That was a drop of 27% year-on-year and 40% year-on-year. On a month on month comparison, exports were down 26% from 15,400 tonnes.
