According to the latest report from the US Geological Survey, US domestic primary aluminium production was 82,000 tonnes in July 2020. The average daily production stood at 2,650 tonnes, 11% less than that in June 2020 and July 2019. The month-on-month decline was due to the shutdown of the smelter in Ferndale, WA, by Alcoa Corp.
