China’s aluminium billet inventories drop 7,900 tonnes on lower arrivals

According to Shanghai Metals Market, stocks of 6063 aluminium billet across five major consumption areas in China dropped 7,900 tonnes on smaller arrivals. Aluminium billet inventories stood at 63,600 tonne as of Wednesday September 30.

Nanchang recorded the highest decline in the billet stocks. The inventories in Nanchang dropped by 6,540 tonnes from last week to stand at 13,370 tonnes as of Wednesday September 30. In Changzhou and Huzhou, the billet stocks stood at 6,170 tonnes and 6,000 tonnes, down 1,940 tonnes and 1,000 tonnes from last week.

But the stocks in Foshan and Wuxi registered a hike of 600 tonnes and 990 tonnes. The inventories of aluminium billets in Foshan and Wuxi increased to stand at 25,500 tonnes and 12,590 tonnes as of Wednesday September 30.
