The Western European nation, Germany, exhibits its aluminium scrap export and import market enterprising, though the exports show minor dips, however, imports reflects steady growth.
Germany’s export of aluminium scrap during 2018 has been recorded at 1.14 million tonnes and the revenue earnings stood at $1.32 billion whereas in 2019 the export saw a minor dip by 3.50%, as the export volume remained at 1.10 million tonnes and earnings dropped to $1.15 billion.
In 2020 the projected export for Germany’s aluminium scrap also has been analysed with de-growth by 0.90% Y-o-Y, as the export volume might reach to 1.09 million tonnes and revenue income to fall at $1.10 billion. However, when the analysed export volume and earning of 2020 get assorted with the previous two years it displays 3.33 million tonnes and $3.57 billion respectively.
The major destinations for Germany’s aluminium scrap export are Austria, Belgium, Bosnia Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, China, Croatia, Czech Rep., Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, UK, UAE, USA, Turkey, Netherlands, etc.
The European Union nation’s import of aluminium scrap during 2018 has remained only at 0.85 million tonnes and revenue expenditure stood at $0.53 billion, while in 2019 the aluminium scrap import saw growth by 11.76%, as the import volume recorded was 0.95 million tonnes and the expenditures surged to $1.01 billion.
The estimated scrap import for 2020 has been analysed with a minor growth of 1.05%, as the import volume to stretch at 0.96 million tonnes but the revenue expenditure might climb up to $1.27 billion. When the import and expenditure of 2020 get added to the preceding two years it stands at 2.76 million tonnes and $2.81 billion respectively.
Germany’s major trading partners for the importation of aluminium scrap are Australia, Austria, UK, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, etc.
