Cameroon’s Aluminium structures importation market displays instability during 2017-19; Projected 80.12% volume growth in 2020

The Central African nation’s aluminium structures import during 2017-19 remained unstable, as the import volume stood at 1347 tonnes and the foreign revenue expenditure was recorded at $20.73 million. The analysed import volume for 2020 is expected to reach at 861 tonnes and the expenditure would surge up to $16.14 million. When the projected import volume and expenditure of 2020 gets added to the previous three years it exhibits 2208 tonnes and $36.87 million respectively.

Cameroon’s import of aluminium structures in 2017 was recorded at 303 tonnes and the expenditure stood at $1.03 million, whereas in 2018 the import saw growth by 86.79%, as the import volume climbed to 566 tonnes with expenditure shot up at $12.67 million.

In 2019, the import displays down-fall by 15.54%, as the import volume was recorded at 478 tonnes and expenditure with a steep fall remained at $7.03 million.

The country’s aluminium structures import for 2020 has been projected with a sharp rise by 80.12%, as the import volume to reach at 861 tonnes. This import volume will be recorded as the highest in 4 years.
