The canned food and beverages market of Greece has seen substantial growth, though the country has been going through a lot of rough patches in its economy. This growth has affected directly to the importation of aluminium cans to the nation.
The aluminium cans importation of Greece during 2017-19 has been recorded with a total import volume of 10,678 tonnes and the expenditure stood at $51.25 million. The estimated import volume for 2020 has been analysed at 5390 tonnes and the expenditure might stretch to $23.44 million. However, when the analysed import volume and expenditure gets summed up with the existing three years it marks at 16,068 tonnes and $74.69 million respectively.
The country’s aluminium cans importation mainly gets exported from countries like Albania, Austria, Bulgaria, China, Cyprus, Denmark, France, Germany, India, Italy, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, UK, etc.
In 2017 the import volume of the aluminium cans remained at 2171 tonnes and the expenditure stood at $10.76 million, whereas in 2018 the import volume reached to 3847 tonnes, a rise by 77.02% and the expenditure climbed to $18.68 million.
The import volume of aluminium cans in 2019 was recorded with growth by 21.13%, as the volume remained at 4660 tonnes and the expenditure stood at $21.81 million, while the projection of importation for 2020 has also been veiled with growth by 15.66% and the expenditure inclined to $23.44 million.
