The rapid downfall of US import of Aluminium Metals and alloys, crude from Argentina during May – Oct’19
The US import of Metals and alloys, crude from Argentina has been showing a continuous de-growth. The total import volume from January – October’19 stood at 102,000 tonnes, whereas the import volume during the same phase the previous year was recorded at 146,000 tonnes, a downfall of 30.13% and by volume 44,000 tonnes.
The total import from Argentina during May – Oct’19 stood at 47,420 tonnes only. The month of May’19 the import recorded was 20,300 tonnes, whereas in June’19 the import was at 15,100 tonnes, a decline of 25.61% and by volume of 5200 tonnes.
The US imports Metals and alloys, crude from Argentina in July had shown a steep fall by 74.17%, the total export volume was 3900, a deficit by 11,200 tonnes from its previous month.
The de-growth continued even in August’19 with total import volume stood at 2790 tonnes, a deficit by 1110 tonnes and downfall by 28.46%.
The month of September’19 also recorded a downturn of 25.44%, the total export volume reflected at 2080 tonnes and deficit by 710 tonnes.
October’19 showed an improvement by counting total import volume from Argentina at 3250 tonnes, a rise of 56.35%.
Argentina has been exempted from Aluminium additional import tariffs other than Mexico and Canada.
The total import of Aluminium metals and alloys, crude from Argentina was recorded at 33,600 tonnes in September & October’18, whereas in 2019 during the same phase it was recorded only 5330 tonnes, a rapid downfall by 84.13% and by volume the deficit stood at 28,270 tonnes.
